Spring Final Animations

I have changed a few things within this final. First I added lighting to give it a sunset mood and feel. Then I animated the coins falling out of the first bag and some of the things that look like gravity would effect them. I copied the crown and put in on the chair like it was balancing on it. Then I changed the roof from gold to whitish and also the grout to a more cement feel. I took the refelectivity of some of the coins down.

Final AE comp

This is the final Composition of my main project. This took over three weeks to make and was very fun. For this I had to model all the objects, texture them and finally animate them moving and the transparency. Over all it was a hard project but I like doing it.

video clips

These video clips took several weeks to make. The hardest one was the bottom one finding a way for the base of the robot to move very smooth. My favorite of the three is definitely the last because it is a good scene with a good background and lots of detail.

Lighted textures

These are the lighted models of my animation. The light area is a representation of high noon or mid day. For this I used a point light with a high intensity and multiple directional light for the light everywhere effect.

Textured Images

These are the textured images of my animation. I used basic blinns and image textures. This was fairly easy but difficult to find the right texture to go with the right environment.

Camera shots

The first camera is the one with the shot of the cannon next to the oil field that will be used for many scenes. The second is Cliff falling camera because its going to follow the base when it fall off the cliff. The third is Flying Camera because its going to follow the robot when flying through
the air. The final is the robot head cam is from the robots point of view.

environment

The environment consists of a oil field a cannon box a junkyard and a cliff.

Robot Character

This is my characters back side top and full body. This was minimal work and I think if flows well together. I plan to make the eyes red and the mouth different shades of yellow. The body will be metallic colors and the wheels matte black.

animation

To make this animation my partner Luke and I modeled multiple aspects of this animation. The Room and door was the easiest part because of the straight room effects. The button stand was next while Luke made the squid. Finally we just put all the pieces together and I animated it.

Outer Space

In this animation I set key frames for items to move. Also I made a mask over the flames to look more natural.

Main Map Composition

This project was not too hard but it was time consuming. There was a multitude of key frames set and making sure the background map did not overlay with the planes overhead motion along with the clouds.

Yoga

I made this in a couple of days and to me it was easy. For this i made the text fade in and out, also I key framed the text to slide off the page because there was no good effect for it. Finally I made the transitions align to were you couldn't really tell where the footage end and another began it was just there after the transition.

Main Shoe Composition

This is the shoe commercial that took a week to make. Things I had to do was overlap layers add effects to text and footage and also had to make shapes for a "glichy" effect. I personly hate the random shapes that pop up because it makes the footage have less of a flow and ruins the effects in general.

Camera Shots

Extreme Long Shot- Generally used as a scene setting can be taken form as much as a quarter mile away.

Long Shot- Typically shows the entire object or human figure as is usually intended to place in some relation to surroundings.

Full shot-  a long shot and place relation to the scenes surroundings.

Mid Shot- a camera angle from a middle distance, between long shot and close up

Close up- is tightly framed and shown at a relatively large scale

Extreme close up-  tightly framed on the person object or item at hand

Birds Eye-  a shot in which the camera photographs a scene from directly overhead.

High Angle shot- a shot in which the subject is photographed from above

Low angle-  a shot in which the subject is photographed from below

Eye Level- The placement of the camera approximately 5 to 6 feet from the ground corresponding to the height of an observer on the scene.

My three favorite shots are Birds eye because it shows all the area, Eye level
to show emotion and depth and finally Low angle shot because it shows the depth and detail from under neath

Vintage Poloride

The first thing I did is make the the Polaroid image. Then I made adjustments to the white box to make it look like paper. Then I added the photo and had the black back ground. Finally i added a hue and saturation to make it look old.

Curl

This is very simple. First you map out your corner. Then you place a gradient in that corner. Warp the shape till the gradient is gone.

Tape

In this the technique I used was quite standard. I basically created a rectangle and colored it. Then I off set the color on the tape. I rotated the original image and copied the tape and erased the edges to look ripped.
